Social inequality, discrimination, and misanthropy, coupled with the pressure to perform—many of the challenges of our time are particularly evident in schools. At the same time, universities often pursue the same goal as teaching: the mere transmission of content. In doing so, not only interpersonal relationships and the diverse realities of life are forgotten. Questions that concern us are: How can I be there for my students with appreciation? ...counter discrimination? ...use my power as a teacher responsibly? ...design my teaching in a critical and empowering way? We believe that change begins where people exchange ideas, raise their voices, and act together. We are committed to power-critical perspectives in teaching.
