6th Progressive Introductory Weeks (2021)
From 04 to 17 October, the PEW took place with numerous university groups, associations and initiatives of Magdeburg. They all made it possible to offer 23 events. Within the framework of various open meetings, workshops, film screenings, reading evenings and a campus tour, interested parties were able to gain an insight into the diverse commitment of various groups in the area of sustainability on an ecological, economic, but above all on a social level and to be strengthened in their own social commitment. The team of the OVGU's sustainability office was responsible for coordinating the events and public relations. More information on the events can be found here.
5th Progressive Induction Weeks (2020)
From 17.10. to 31.10. the 5th Progressive Introductory Days took place, coordinated by the Sustainability Office and sponsored by the OVGU Student Council. Due to the Corona pandemic, the PEW were held at the same time as the main programme of the Eco-Social University Days. 28 events gave the opportunity to network and get to know sustainable initiatives at the OVGU and in the city. Some events took place in presence and others were only offered online. Formats were: Open meetings of initiatives, city walks and an English language bike tour, workshops, lectures and film evenings.
4th Progressive Induction Weeks (2019).
From 01.10.-26.10. the 4th Progressive Introductory Weeks took place coordinated by the Sustainability Office and sponsored by the OVGU Student Council. 28 events gave the opportunity to network, get to know sustainable initiatives at the OVGU and in the city and an easy introduction to the study about various formats and topics of sustainability and this across all study programmes and in a relaxed atmosphere. Formats were: Open meetings of initiatives, city walks and an English-language bike tour, workshops, lectures, film evenings and demonstrations.
3rd Progressive Induction Weeks (2018).
In its 3rd year, the progressive introduction weeks were again a great success. The Sustainability Office again took over the coordination and public relations of the event weeks. This pursues the goal of strengthening social engagement on campus and/or by OVGU students. A total of over 25 events took place, reaching well over 300 people. There was cooperation with about 15 initiatives, institutions and university groups.
2. progressive introductory weeks (2017)
After the progressive introduction weeks were very well received in the previous year, the team also put together an exciting programme in 2017. The programme ranged from film evenings and numerous city tours to an everything swap/flea market minus money. The PEW 2017 was supported by: the StuRa, the feminist and university policy department of the StuRa, the FasRa FHW, the Open Left List, the Green University Group, the World Shop, Bienenweide e.V. and the BUNDjugend.
1st Progressive Introductory Weeks (2016)
After the successful 3rd University Days, the team came up with the idea of creating an alternative and critical programme for the introductory week. The focus should be shifted from alcohol to various aspects of sustainability and engagement in studies. Through cooperation with various partners (StuRa, FasRa FHW, BUNDjugend, OLLi and GHG), a diverse programme was created that included city tours, a cooking class, as well as various workshops and lectures.
